  • WRKF marks the exit of 2022 reflecting on the music and the events of the past year.
  • Explore the guiding principles, tales, and traditions of Kwanzaa with WRKF this holiday season as we hear special programming highlighting the music, prose, and spirit of celebration based on the African harvest festival traditions from portions of west and southeast Africa.
  • From King's College chapel in Cambridge, England to the music of Appalachia, tune to WRKF this weekend for plenty of festive music, holiday cheer, tradition, and storytelling.
  • Celebrate the Jewish Festival of Lights with WRKF as we present holiday programming exploring culture, ritual, community, language, music, and tradition.
  • Celebrate the true meaning of the holidays with WRKF and the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank.
  • Join WRKF as we mark the Thanksgiving with our favorite seasonal programming highlighting food, eating, gathering, and reflection on the spirit of gratitude.
  • A free financial literacy conference with practical information to help any individual or family gain skills to make responsible financial decisions.
  • Four hundred community leaders attended this forum of ideas with Steven V. Roberts at Crown Plaza Baton Rouge on September 30th, 2022.
  • Airing Sunday, June 19, at 7pm on WRKF, this special will use music from Black American composers to highlight progress and the pain that has been held in the community. Using the commemoration of the emancipation of all those who had been enslaved in the United States as a starting point, the special will face our country’s racist past and present a tapestry of sounds, somber to ecstatic.
  • WRKF introduces Today, Explained, a daily program examining the news of the day, coming to WRKF weekday evenings at 10pm beginning June 1st.
