The 2022 Symphony Book Fair returns to New Orleans this weekend; here's what to expect

Today on Louisiana Considered, we hear what to expect at this year’s Symphony Book Fair. We also learn about the 30th anniversary of one of New Orleans’ beloved food events, and hear about a local dance ensemble setting off on a globe-trotting adventure.

A beloved event anticipated by bookworms and art lovers is returning to the UNO Lakefront Arena this weekend. The Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra Volunteer’s Symphony Book Fair is back after a two-year hiatus. Spokeswoman Phyllis Jordan fills us in on what to expect at this year’s sale.

The award-winning New Orleans Wine and Food Experience, known as NOWFE, is celebrating its 30th anniversary. NOWFE executive director Aimee Brown tells us how this nationally-acclaimed culinary event will honor gourmands and connoisseurs.

The Komenka Ethnic Dance and Music Ensemble is gearing up for a globe-trotting adventure. Their 40th Anniversary Spring Concert will take audiences on a cultural journey of many countries through music and dance. Komenka executive director John Rodi tells us more.
