Blythe Johnson

Underwriting Representative

Blythe moved to Baton Rouge from her hometown, Lafayette, in 2000 to attend Louisiana State University. While at LSU, she volunteered at WRKF and then was hired as Member Services Coordinator upon graduating. A year later she was promoted to Operations Director and then to Director of Programming and Operations.

In 2012 Blythe left WRKF to pursue other opportunities which eventually led to an advertising sales position at 225 Magazine. In December 2018, after six years, she was called back to public radio where she is now Underwriting Representative.

Blythe lives in Mid City with her husband, "Dash" Johnson, step-daughter, two cats, and a new baby. In her free time, you can find her changing diapers, volunteering with various community organizations, or attempting to play the violin.
