Missouri judge exonerates Kevin Strickland after historic 43-year-long wrongful conviction

A judge in Missouri on Tuesday ordered the immediate release of Kevin Strickland, a Black man convinced of murder in 1979 by an all-white jury.

Stickland spent 43 years in prison. His exoneration makes his case the longest imprisonment for a wrongful conviction in Missouri history.
