End of Summer Signals Garden Slowdown

Although Labor Day is the traditional end of the summer season in some parts of the country, summer in southeast Louisiana lingers well into October. But temperatures are starting to moderate in September.

Dan is an Associate Professor in Consumer Horticulture with the LSU AgCenter.
