New programs coming to WRKF weekends


The Moth Radio Hour — Saturdays at 5pm
Beginning September 29th

The Moth Radio Hour features true stories told live on stage without scripts, notes, props, or accompaniment. Each Moth Radio Hour mixes humorous, heartbreaking, and poignant tales that captivate, surprise, and delight audiences with their honesty, bravery and humor.


Selected Shorts — Saturdays at 6pm
Beginning September 29th

Selected Shorts features presents of best-loved selections of short fiction by classic and emerging writers read by acclaimed top Broadway and Hollywood actors and recorded live at Symphony Space in New York City. Stories are alternately funny, sad, moving, and exciting.


Planet Money & How I Built This — Sundays at 10am
Beginning September 30th

Planet Money explains the economy with playful storytelling and Peabody award-winning deep dive, roll up your sleeves journalism. The team includes Robert Smith, Jacob Goldstein, Stacey Vanek Smith, Noel King, Ailsa Chang and Kenny Malone.

Also during this hour, Guy Raz brings you How I Built This, where innovators, entrepreneurs, and idealists take us through the often challenging journeys they took to build their now iconic companies. Featured guests have included the founders of Lyft, Patagonia, Zappos, Spanx, Samuel Adams, Instagram, and more.


Christopher Kimball's Milk Street Radio — Sundays at 11am
Beginning September 30th

On Milk Street Radio, Christopher Kimball travels the world to discover how food and cooking are changing lives and cultures, from $13,500 melons in Japan and computer-generated cookie recipes to the home cooking of Ina Garten and Egyptian fast food in Berlin. Milk Street Radio is brought to you with a five-star cast of contributors including Sara Moulton (long-time public television host and cookbook author), Adam Gopnik (contributing writer for The New Yorker), Dan Pashman (host of The Sporkful podcast) and host Christopher Kimball (founder of Cook’s Magazine and long-time public TV and Radio host).


Live From Here with Chris Thile ends production
We were sorry to hear that the producers of Live From Here with Chris Thile made the difficult decision to end production of the program earlier this summer. We think you'll enjoy the new programming, detailed above, that we are making available in its place. While Live From Here is coming to an end, Chris Thile wants to extend a big thank you to listeners for tuning in and making memories.
