    Republican Senator Robert Adley, of Benton, has long been a critic of the Governor's office public records laws. This week he attached an amendment to a House bill that would require Governor Jindal's office to keep and make public for 10 years records pertaining to the state's response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The Senate unanimously approved the amendment. WRKF's Saiward Pharr spoke with Sen. Adley Thursday at the Capitol.

His bill (HB 292 ) to return Congressional primaries in Louisiana to an open election system won House passage Wednesday. The legislature closed congressional primaries just four years ago.

    But he also says keep an eye on Sen. A.G. Crowe's (R-Slidell) bill to nullify some aspects of federal health care overhauls and higher education reform.
