    ALL THINGS CONSIDERED HOST/REPORTER

WRKF is seeking an ambitious journalist to join its growing newsroom as a full-time host/reporter. Duties

The host/reporter should be able to take an idea and run with it, whether that’s an assignment from the News Director, a pitch from a listener, or the result of their own muckraking. The host/reporter should be able to put together weighty and creative stories on tight deadlines. The host/reporter should feel at home in the air studio, delivering the news with a professional, conversational, and defining presence.

    Requirements

Recording spot news and understudy for Morning Edition and/or All Things Considered are possibilities dependent upon voice checks and technical proficiency.

The internship is part-time, about 15 hours/week, with flexible hours. While the internship is unpaid, it provides a rich learning opportunity, with experience in reporting, producing, and operations.

Please fill out an application and contact Amy Jeffries at amy@wrkf.org.
