THURSDAY: Jesse Allison, Paul Naquin, Dan Ireland

LSU Professor of Music Jesse Allison joins us in studio to talk about the Red Stick Future Fest happening tomorrow from 2pm-5pm. You can get more information about this event online at redstickfestival.org. "FutureFest is an exhibition of the best of tomorrow."

Paul Naquin calls in to talk about the controversial lawsuit between the city-parish and Steve Myers, local landlord and lawyer, over the definition of family. The Supreme Court overturned District Judge Janice Clark's decision. She agreed with Myers argument that the city parish can't prohibit more than two unrelated people from living together -- but that was shot down Wednesday. Naquin says this is a victory for the people of Baton Rouge and those who value living in "nice neighborhoods."

Dan Ireland, Artistic Director of the Louisiana International Film Festival, discusses the big event which begins today and runs through Sunday at Cinemark in Perkins Rowe. You can find the festival schedule at www.lifilmfest.org.

Every weekday Jim engages listeners with compelling discussions ranging from presidential and gubernatorial campaigns to LSU football and the aftermath of disasters like Hurricane Isaac.
