David Gordon

David's broadcasting career spans more than three decades.

He had a successful run as Program Director at WCBE-FM in Columbus, Ohio. For almost 10 years he served as the station manager at KUNR-88.7 FM from the University of Nevada, Reno, and then at WNCW-88.7 FM, the award-winning public radio station serving Asheville and Charlotte, NC and Greenville-Spartanburg, SC.

But the deep south is home. Gordon was born in New Orleans and raised in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Southern Mississippi. He joined WRKF as the President and General Manager in 2006.

David's wife Sonya is the Public Information Officer for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System.  His daughter Tessa attends Buchanan Elementary School as part of the Gifted and Talented program.
