Hosted by WRKF News Director Karen Henderson, this one year hour live call-in program explores the issues of the day as well as the history and culture unique to Louisiana.  Past guests include Louisiana Congressman Charlie Melancon, Louisiana Recovery Authority Executive Director Andy Kopplin, East Baton Parish Mayor President Kip Holden, LSU crawfish researcher Greg Lutz and nature photographer C.C. Karen Henderson earned a B.A. in Journalism from Louisiana State University, and minored in Business Administration. She began her radio career in college at KLSU, where she hosted a Sunday morning program called Morning Star, airing Contemporary Christian music. She spent several years in commercial radio working various positions including Music Announcer, Public Affairs Director, and Production Manager before finding her niche in news. She has worked as News Director for WIBR-AM in Baton Rouge and as a reporter for Louisiana Network.

In 1996, she joined WRKF as Assistant News Director and local Morning Edition host, and became News Director the following year. Karen provides the WRKF listening audience with local news and information while working closely with National Public Radio. She was picked by NPR to participate in a special reporter training program in Washington, D.C., and has become a frequent contributor to NPR broadcasts.
