David Gordon
President/General Manager
David Gordon was born in New Orleans and raised in Hattiesburg,
Mississippi. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Radio-Television-Film from the University of Southern Mississippi.
David’s 29 year broadcasting career has included successful runs at
WCBE-FM in Columbus, Ohio; WSVH-FM, a community-licensed station in
Savannah, Georgia; and WUSM-FM at the University of Southern Mississippi
in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. For the past six years he was station
manager at WNCW-88.7 FM, a public radio station serving Asheville and
Charlotte, NC and

Greenville-Spartanburg, SC. Prior to joining WNCW, Gordon was general manager of KUNR-88.7 FM at the University of Nevada,
Reno for almost 10 years.
David’s wife of 20 years, Sonya, is from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. They
both feel that everything about Baton Rouge, Louisiana and this area in
general…the food, the culture, the arts…is a part of them and they’ve
missed it. Now it’s time to share it with their first child, 19-month-old
