Workers continue to clean up oil in the Rigolets and in Lake Pontchartrain.
On Wednesday, there were 41 boats scooping up oil that had traveled from the BP leak in the Gulf of Mexico to areas closer inland.
A Coast Guard spokeswoman says most of the boats were in the Rigolets - the Rigolets, one of two passes that connect Lake Pontchartrain with the Gulf of Mexico. They were also working in the Slidell area.
Workers cleaned up about 200 pounds of tar balls and vegetation covered with oil.
