The LSU Tigers vaulted to the number 5 position in the AP and BCS polls after a come-from-behind victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide Saturday.
The Tigers had been ranked 12th going into the game. Other top-10 losses Saturday by Utah and Oklahoma helped elevate the team's ranking.
LSU rebounded from its loss to Auburn two weeks ago and improved to a 15-1 record after a defeat under coach Les Miles. The final score was 24 to 21.
