Governor Jindal is reaching out to college students via his facebook and Twitter accounts. The governor posted to question "How can we increase the value of your education?" to his social network pages yesterday.

LSU Student Goverment president J Hudson says he would like to meet with the governor to discuss the issue rather than post over the internet.

"We just want a response from him, maybe a 30 minute meeting," Hudson says, "just trying to ensure that our institution is going to be held at a higher standard than the institutions that are failing students right now."

Hudson published a plea to Jindal in a New Hampshire newspaper last Sunday, asking the governor to stop spending time out of state fund raising and pay more attention to the higher education crisis in Louisiana.

We invite you join the discussion. You can find links to Jindal's facebook discussion on WRKF's facebook page and on Saiward Pharr's Twitter account.
