Recently the Baton Rouge Big Buddy Program hosted its 4th annual WordPlay Teen Slam Poetry festival. Commentator Zayne Turner has been involved with all of the Word Play festivals, but she now lives in Charlottesville, Virginia while working on a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry at the University of Virginia. So she packed up her dog and drove the 18 hours from Charlottesville to Baton Rouge when it looked like she may miss the WordPlay festival. |
